The Manzoor Colony Nullah Before and After Maps created by the Urban Resource Center are visual representations of the transformation of the Manzoor Colony Nullah in Karachi, Pakistan. The “Before” map shows the nullah in its previous state, when it was heavily polluted and encroached upon by informal settlements, garbage dumps, and industrial waste. The “After” map shows the nullah after it was cleaned up and restored by the city government with the help of community mobilization and technical support from civil society organizations.  The maps are a powerful reminder of the impact that community action and government intervention can have on improving urban environments.
