Punjab Welfare Association
Punjab Welfare Association was established to provide a platform for the welfare of residents of Umar Colony. Registered with the Department of Social Welfare, the organization works for the community’s well-being, including lease and water issues, and arranges the transport of deceased members to their native villages or for funeral rites in Karachi. Its work has been guided and supported by the late Syed Abdur Rahman, Nadar Khan, Raja Zahid Hussain, Haji Khan Badshah, Malik Muhammad Rafiq, Dil Muhammad Rafiq Hazarvi, Engineer Bashir Ahmed, and Dr. Roshan.
