Waste incinerators Larkana biomedical waste disposal project aims to ensure the safe and environmentally sound treatment of hazardous medical waste in District Larkana. This Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, conducted by EMC Pakistan Pvt. Ltd., evaluates the environmental and public health impacts of installing biomedical waste incinerators at Sheikh Zayed Women Hospital, RHC Naudero, and THQ Ratodero. The project, led by the Health Department Government of Sindh with support from WHO, complies with Section 17 of the Sindh Environmental Protection Act 2014 and highlights mitigation strategies to reduce health risks from improper waste disposal.

The EIA emphasizes the urgent need for controlled waste treatment facilities, especially after recurring HIV outbreaks linked to unsafe medical practices in the region. The report presents baseline data, environmental safeguards, and a framework for monitoring and regulatory compliance to ensure that the incineration process minimizes risks to both the environment and the community.
