Bahria Town Icon Tower – EIA Report
The Bahria Town Icon Tower, EIA Report outlines the environmental assessment of a multi-use high-rise building project in Clifton, Karachi. The project consists of a 60-storey commercial tower, with 59 floors of office and retail space and seven underground levels for parking. Spread across a 1.45-hectare plot near the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, the project site is positioned in one of Karachi’s busiest urban zones with access through major roads including Shahrah-e-Iraq, 26th Street, and Khayaban-e-Sahil. Designed to be the tallest building in Pakistan, the tower aims to centralize workspaces, shopping, and recreation under one roof, offering convenience in a self-contained environment.
This Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) evaluates the potential environmental and social impacts resulting from the construction and operation of the tower. The study reviews current site conditions, identifies environmentally sensitive zones, assesses expected changes due to the development, and recommends suitable mitigation strategies. The report ensures that the project aligns with environmental regulations while addressing urban sustainability and community wellbeing.
