On 19 May 2022, the Urban Resource Center organized a public forum titled “Managing the Challenges, Issues, and Opportunities of Growing Urban Populations,” with Dr. Noman Ahmed as the keynote speaker. The forum highlighted the administrative challenges arising from the increasing urban population, including resource scarcity, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of coordination in urban planning. Dr. Noman Ahmed emphasized that without effective solutions to these issues, achieving urban development goals would be difficult. He also noted that the growing population presents new opportunities, such as the need for the use of modern technology, green urban planning, and sustainable development models. The forum stressed the importance of sustainable policies, transparent government actions, and community partnerships to address these challenges.
