Port Qasim Transmission Line – EIA Report

Transmission Lines at Port Qasim EIA Report details a three-component project to strengthen Karachi’s power transmission infrastructure. The plan includes establishing a 220 kV grid station in Pir Sarhandi Goth near Razaqabad, constructing a 26 km double circuit 220 kV transmission line from a future power plant in Port Qasim’s Industrial Export Zone, and a second 23 km line from the grid station to the KDA Grid Station in Scheme 33. This infrastructure is intended to support upcoming 1100 MW nuclear power plants by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), with surplus power sublet to K-Electric. The project will help reduce energy loss, meet growing electricity demand, and stabilize Karachi’s power supply through improved grid connectivity.
