Road Safety Issues in Karachi and Solutions

On 29 April 2015, the Urban Resource Center organized a public forum titled “Road Safety Issues in Karachi and Suggested Solutions,” featuring Abdul Qadir Blo as the speaker. The forum addressed the growing concerns surrounding road safety in Karachi, focusing on the high incidence of traffic accidents, inadequate infrastructure, and the lack of effective enforcement of traffic laws. Abdul Qadir Blo emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive road safety measures, including better traffic management, public awareness campaigns, and stricter law enforcement. The session also highlighted the importance of improving infrastructure, such as pedestrian crossings, signage, and traffic signals, to create a safer environment for all road users. The discussion concluded with recommendations for both short-term and long-term strategies to reduce road accidents and improve overall road safety in the city.
