On 22 September 2022, the Urban Resource Center organized a public forum titled “The Deteriorating Condition of Karachi City” featuring speaker Abdul Hameed Dogar. The forum addressed the ongoing decline in Karachi’s urban infrastructure, governance, and service delivery. Through a detailed presentation and critical observations, the session shed light on key issues such as unplanned development, poor waste management, inadequate public transport, and the weakening role of local government institutions. The discussion emphasized the urgent need for coordinated policy action, civic engagement, and transparent urban planning to restore the livability and functionality of the city.
