On 29 April 2009, a forum was held on “The Role of Tankers in Water Supply for Domestic and Industrial Use” with Ghulam Mustafa Zaid Musti Khan, and Haji Muhammad Younis as the speakers. The forum focused on the challenges faced by Karachi in obtaining water for domestic and industrial needs, with a particular emphasis on the increasing reliance on water tankers. The speakers discussed the inefficiencies, environmental concerns, and the socio-economic impact of this practice, and suggested solutions like improved water distribution infrastructure, better resource management, and sustainable water use practices.
