On 13 November 2019, the Urban Resource Center hosted a forum titled “Barriers to the Implementation of the K4 Water Supply Project – An Overview and Recommendations,” with Maham Mehar and Arif Hasan as the speakers. The forum focused on the challenges hindering the successful execution of the K4 water supply project, which aims to address Karachi’s water crisis. The speakers discussed issues such as funding constraints, bureaucratic delays, and technical challenges. They also proposed solutions, including better coordination between stakeholders, streamlined processes, and a focus on sustainable water management practices to ensure the project’s long-term success.
