Perspective of the KCR Project Affected Peoples

On 23 November 2017, the Urban Resource Center hosted a forum titled “The Perspective and Position of the Affected People of the Karachi Circular Railway Project,” featuring Advocate Mohammad Ali Shah and Haji Khan Badshah. The forum focused on the challenges faced by the communities displaced by the Karachi Circular Railway project. The speakers discussed the lack of proper compensation, relocation issues, and the social and economic impact on affected families. They emphasized the need for a fair and transparent resettlement process, along with better planning and coordination between authorities and affected communities to ensure that the project benefits the city without causing undue harm to its residents.
