Water Supply Crisis in Karachi – An Overview

On 18 July 2018, the Urban Resource Center held a forum titled “Water Supply Crisis in Karachi – An Overview and Recommendations,” with speakers Dr. Noman Ahmed, Farhan Anwar, and Alm Amram Chandani. The discussion focused on the causes of Karachi’s water shortage, including mismanagement and outdated infrastructure, and the social and environmental impact. The speakers proposed solutions such as sustainable water management, infrastructure upgrades, and public awareness campaigns. They called for a collaborative effort from government, civil society, and international organizations to address the crisis.
