On 06 March 2015, the Urban Resource Center organized a forum titled “Land Encroachment and Ownership Issues and the Deteriorating Law and Order Situation in Karachi,” with Professor Dr. Noman Ahmed as the speaker. The forum focused on the complex issues of land encroachment, unauthorized occupation, and the subsequent impact on Karachi’s law and order situation. Dr. Noman Ahmed discussed how these issues contribute to social instability, urban violence, and poor governance. He emphasized the need for effective land management policies, law enforcement reforms, and community involvement to restore peace and order in the city.
